Sam Thompson is on hand to give his girlfriend Zara McDermott all the encouragement she needs ahead of her Strictly Come Dancing debut. The former Love Island star, now 26, will join the glitzy BBC show next Saturday for the launch show. The documentary presenter has just weeks to brush up on her dance skills before heading to the dancefloor. Zara has already admitted she's not going into it with any high expectations, saying: 'Dancing live on national television is not something that I've thought too deeply into at this point because I think I will get overwhelmed.'
The adorable couple are not fearful of the so-called 'Strictly curse', even though Zara had cheated on Sam once before and Sam had been unfaithful to previous girlfriends. Sam said: 'You know when you look at them and you go, "She ain't going to do that again" I could see in her face.' He believes Zara has a 'beautiful heart and a beautiful soul'.
