Not just the Ispat Stadium, but other sports facilities in Rourkela are also going to witness some major enhancements. At the Ispat Basketball Complex, a new shed will be constructed for the benefit of the players. The Biju Patnaik hockey stadium complex will also see some improvements, with the fencing of the new volleyball ground and the installation of new lights. Additionally, a seating area will be developed for the players to rest and recharge.
But that's not all, as RSP is also focusing on upgrading the Biju Patnaik hockey stadium itself. With a budget of Rs 3 crore, new floodlights will be installed to further enhance the stadium's facilities. It's worth mentioning that RSP had already given a complete transformation to the stadium in 2023, with the installation of a new state-of-the-art synthetic turf, sprinklers, and other facilities at an expenditure of about Rs 12 crore.
