Spider-Man 2 is just around the corner, and fans are already excited to see what new suit Spidey will be sporting this time! Sony seems to be confident in its success, given the amount of footage and previews they have been sharing ahead of its launch. Insomniac Games, the developers of the game, have been giving fans a few extra details that they'll love to know.
For starters, there will be more than 65 different suits to unlock, a huge leap from the 28 in the original PlayStation 4 game and the 20 in the Miles Morales game. What's more, fans can even customise the suits with unlockable colour shaders, giving them over 200 ways to outfit their Spider-hero.
Not only will there be some original suits, but some familiar favourites will also be included. Fans have already spotted the Superior Spider-Man suit, as well as the black suit from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3. These will no doubt bring back memories of the classic Bully Maguire memes.
Technically, the game is also looking to be an improvement on the previous two. Ray-tracing will be enabled by default, with both Performance and Graphics modes using it. This is thanks to the Miles Morales update, which allowed ray-tracing at 60 frames per second.
Unfortunately, there is one fan favourite character that won't be making an appearance in Spider-Man 2 - Gwen Stacy, otherwise known as Spider-Gwen or Ghost-Spider. While Insomniac has not ruled out the possibility of her popping up in a future game, there's just no room for her with Venom and the black suit taking up the spotlight.
Spider-Man 2 launches for PlayStation 5 on October 20. Be sure to sign up to our newsletter for all the exclusive gaming content and latest releases before they're seen on the site.
