Black Mirror season 6 has finally arrived and it certainly does not disappoint. Charlie Brooker has outdone himself with this latest installment of the acclaimed anthology series. Shrouded in secrecy until its release, this season of Black Mirror is bold, brave, and brutal. With five episodes, the cast is filled with star-studded names such as Annie Murphy, Salma Hayek, Aaron Paul, Josh Hartnett, and Kate Mara.

Starting with Mazey Day, we follow a paparazzi photographer trying to make ends meet. When tragedy strikes, she is offered an opportunity to make some money with potentially deadly consequences. It's a unique take on paparazzi culture and an homage to classic 1980s horror.
Next is Demon ‘79 featuring Anjana Vaan in one of the standout performances of the season. We follow Needa, a timid shop assistant living through the rise of Margaret Thatcher. When she accidentally sets off a cursed talisman, a demon appears and tells her she must kill three people to save the world from an impending apocalypse. Demon ‘79 is a dark commentary on the era and Vaan’s performance is remarkable.
Beyond The Sea follows Cliff and David on a mission in space. Thanks to the cutting-edge technology, robotic body doubles are able to stay home while they are away. However, when a terrifying incident strikes, the future of the mission is in question unless someone is willing to make a huge sacrifice.
Joan Is Awful stars Annie Murphy as Joan, a woman having a below-average day. She meets up with her ex from years ago and their passion is still there. However, when her day is dramatized into a show, she is depicted as the worst person in America. This episode is a wild ride of cameos and absurdity.
Finally, we come to Loch Henry, my favorite of the season. We follow a filmmaker and his girlfriend who come to his hometown, Loch Henry, to make a documentary about an egg-protecting vigilante. As they uncover the secrets of the town, they uncover the catalyst behind his father’s death. This episode is a classic British horror story with a thrilling twist.
