Producer of The Hangover films, Daniel Goldberg, passed away at age 74.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of film producer Daniel Goldberg on Wednesday in Los Angeles, aged 74.

Throughout his career, Goldberg worked on a number of well-known films, including Space Jam, Old School and all three of The Hangover films starring Bradley Cooper and Ken Jeong. He also co-wrote the Bill Murray comedies Stripes and Meatballs, as well as animated film Heavy Metal and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Junior, which also featured Danny DeVito and Emma Thompson.

Goldberg’s 30-year friendship with director Ivan Reitman was evidenced in his work on The Late Shift for HBO and animated TV series Beethoven and Extreme Ghostbusters. He also produced the highly successful Hangover trilogy in 2009, 2011 and 2013.

The news was confirmed by Goldberg’s brother and Deuce Bigalow screenwriter Harris Goldberg, who said: “He was a gentle, lovely guy, he was my hero. He was everything I measured myself against.”

Goldberg is survived by his wife, two sisters and brother. It is not yet known what caused his death.

At this time, we would like to offer our condolences to Goldberg’s family and friends. We also wish to remember the late producer for his incredible contributions to the film industry.
