Power line inauguration

Virajpet, Aug. 31: MLA and Chief Minister's Legal Advisor Ajjikuttir S. Ponnanna inaugurated the new power line installed to supply quality power to Kunjilageri in Virajpet assembly constituency.

Earlier, the residents of Kunjilageri were supplied with power through the Parane-Bollumadu 11 kV HT feeder. But during the rainy season, when there was a disruption in the Parane-Moornad 33/11 kV substation, Kunjilageri consumers did not have power connection for many days. In this context, to provide power connection to the Virajpet power substation, an insulated covered conductor was installed for about 3 km from the Bollumadu bridge to the first transformer in Kunjilageri and 85 new electric poles were used at a cost of about Rs. 1 crore through the department. On this occasion, Congress Zone President B. Raja, leaders Daya B.H., Lokesh Madaiah, Ajith, Naveen and others were present.
