Peter Bosz has nothing but praise for his former player Kai Havertz following Arsenal's 1-1 draw with PSV in the Champions League on Tuesday evening. The PSV head coach, who worked with Havertz at Bayer Leverkusen for nearly two years, was full of admiration for the 24-year-old Germany international.
"You don't need to be a scientist in football to see that this was a big, big talent, absolutely," Bosz said. He noted that Havertz was a "modest guy" and was surprised to see him go on to have success in a different country at top clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal.
Bosz believes that Havertz's best position is attacking midfield but noted that he can also play from the side. He noted that he had put Havertz in the No.9 position during his time at Leverkusen, which was something Rudi Voller didn't agree with.
"He can play in those positions but he can also play from the side," Bosz said. He added that Havertz was "really intelligent" and "technically almost perfect for such a tall player".
It's clear that Bosz is very proud of what Havertz has achieved in his career and believes he is an "outstanding, outstanding player".
