People enjoyed the end of summer and connected with their community in August.

As the end of summer drew near and the promise of Q4 loomed, August was all about living in the moment and taking advantage of every opportunity. The warm weather and carefree vibes were in full swing, making it the perfect time to seize the day. And what better way to do that than by attending some of the most exciting events of the month?

First up, we have the Martha's Vineyard African American Film Festival, where the beautiful and talented Keke Palmer graced us with her presence. But she did more than just show up – she teamed up with Creme of Nature and BLACK ENTERPRISE to host a two-day activation that highlighted the importance of beauty, wellness, and business leadership. Needless to say, the event was a huge success, and the attendees were left feeling empowered and inspired.

Next on the list was the Legacy 100 Brunch, a celebration of 10 incredible trailblazers who are making waves in their respective industries. Among them were Malik Yoba and Yvette Noel-Schure, who were honored for their contributions to the Black and Caribbean diaspora. It was a truly Melanated moment, and the event also coincided with Black Business Month, making it even more special.

And let's not forget about Invest Fest, the sixth annual conference that brought together over 31,000 people at the Georgia World Congress Center. With a lineup of impressive guest speakers and panelists, the event was a huge success and a testament to the power of investing in our communities. Last but certainly not least, we have the Cedric the Entertainer 13th Annual Celebrity Golf Classic.

This star-studded event, presented by Lexus, brought together some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment for a day of friendly competition and fundraising. Not only was it a fun event, but it also raised money for a good cause, making it a true Melanated moment.
