Pedestrian Injured After Falling on Dilapidated Road

Madikeri, Nov 3: A pedestrian sustained injuries after falling on a severely damaged, narrow road located opposite the Reliance Smart Bazaar in Madikeri today.

Iron rods are protruding from the pothole-ridden road; a man walking through the area today fell, sustaining injuries to his head and face. Local residents subsequently took him to the hospital.

The road lacks a proper footpath, and wild vegetation has overgrown the drain running along the side, making both pedestrian movement and vehicular traffic difficult.

Local residents have urged for the repair of the road.
