Ujjain : The peace committee held a meeting at the police control room on Sunday where collector and district returning officer Kumar Purushottam was in charge. The committee discussed the model code of conduct that must be followed by the general public in the district during the upcoming festivals.

These included making arrangements for lighting at the place of idol immersion after Navratri, deploying swimming teams, removing encroachment from Gopal Mandir to Qumari Marg, taking action against e-rickshaw drivers who don't have driving licenses, and finally, repairing the mike system at Ramghat and determining one-way routes in the city.
The meeting concluded with the committee's assurance that all these plans would be carried out to ensure that the people remain safe and secure during the upcoming festivals.
