Pradeep Lokhande began his career with the Railway Protection Force in the Central Railway in 1991. After years of field duty, he was appointed to the office of the Principal Chief Security Commissioner at CSMT in the establishment section, where he took great interest in the proper maintenance of files and efficient data management of court cases.
In 2008, he was promoted to the rank of ASI and was posted to the Crime Intelligence Bureau in Pune. Here, he dealt with all crime matters with great efficiency. He was later posted back to CSMT, where his expertise in office work and court cases was of great benefit to the administration.
For his exemplary service, he was awarded the DG’s Commendation and Insignia in 2013. Subsequently, he was transferred to the Pune Division, where he made timely forecasts of political and union activities that would have serious implications on the Railway's working. In 2019, he was posted to the Sr.DSC/Office/Pune, where he handled the MTO Section with great care and efficiency, and he also managed the various types of imprest for proper maintenance of vehicles.
In 2022, he was transferred to Nagpur Division. Currently, he is posted at Sr. DSC/NGP, dealing with sensitive matters such as untoward incidents, court cases, and D&AR matters. In his 30 years of service, he has made significant contributions to crime prevention, passenger security, Bandobast duties during Morchas, Dharnas, Sabotages, and administrative work. For this, he has been awarded at various levels, including IG Level, GM, and Sr.DSC level, as well as the Raj Bhasha Puraskar.
He has been instrumental in disposing several DAR and court cases in favour of the administration, and he is currently the nodal officer for all court-related issues of the Nagpur High Court bench. In the short time since his transfer, he has already taken part in the disposal of two high court cases.
For his 30 years of service and remarkable work, Shri Pradeep Lokhande has been recommended for the Police Medal-2023.
