The committee has approved two major projects, which are expected to generate a combined power of 102 MW.

This plant will be located in Umerkot, which is a district in Nabarangpur. The other project, with a capacity of 49.5 MW, will be set up by ONGC Tripura Power Company Ltd. This wind power plant will be situated in Astaranga, a town in Puri district. The total investment for these two projects is estimated to be Rs. 881.28 crore.
Apart from wind energy, the committee has also given its approval for four solar energy projects. These include a 0.72 MW plant by Vishakha Industries Ltd. in Manesar, Sambalpur, a 0.8 MW plant by ITC Ltd. in Jatni, Khurda, a 2.2 MW plant by Amp Energy in Kansbahal, Sundargarh, and a 1 MW plant by Odisha Television Limited in Sarau, Khurda. These projects will require a total investment of Rs. 22.13 crore.
In accordance with the "Odisha Renewable Energy Policy-2022", the Single Window Committee, which comes under the State Power Department, has approved an investment proposal of Rs. 3723.57 crore for generating 499.48 MW of renewable energy in the state. This is a significant step towards promoting sustainable and eco-friendly sources of energy in Odisha.
