Harsh Gaur, a student and NCC cadet of Samaritans Senior Secondary School of Narmadapuram, has been selected for the pre-army training camp, which will take place in Chhattisgarh’s capital city, Raipur. The camp is slated to begin on Tuesday and will continue till August 10.
The school is affiliated to the 13th MP battalion and organizes NCC camps regularly. Ashutosh Sharma, the director of the school, expressed that Gaur’s selection has been a source of pride for the school and the entire Narmadapuram town.
Principal of the school, Prerna Rawat, NCC manager Pradeep Yadav, associate NCC officer Vijay Prakash Shrivastava, and Gaur’s family and friends have all extended their best wishes to him. He left for Raipur on Monday evening. Subedar Bedram and other staff members of the school were present at Narmadapuram railway station to bid him farewell.
Rawat further stated that NCC cadets, once selected for the camp, will be eligible to join the Indian Army after completing their training. The pre-army training camps are organized at three levels, she added.
The news of Gaur’s selection has brought much joy to the people of Narmadapuram. Meanwhile, the voters’ list of the town will be read out from August 3 to 10.
