Naturopathy should build a strong reputation for itself.
Ujjain: Ramchandra Rahi, president of All India Naturopathy Council, urged naturopathy practitioners to establish its reputation as a science-based medical system, instead of a miracle medical system, at the 39th National Naturopathy Conference held under the chairmanship of senior social worker Raviprakash Langar.

The ceremony was attended by influential personalities including Prof Vijay Kumar Menon, Vice-Chancellor of Mahrishi Panini Sanskrit University, Dr Satyendra Kumar Mishra of Lucknow University, Dr Satyendra Kishore Mishra of Vikram University, Dr Sachchidananda and Dr Vimal Kumar Modi, Vice-President of All India Naturopathy Council, Kusum Shah, Treasurer General Secretary Dr Awadhesh Kumar Mishra, and Secretary Prabodh Raj Chandol.

The dignitaries paid their homage to Mahatma Gandhi by offering flowers to his portrait and lighting a lamp. Dr Satyendra Kishore Mishra of Vikram University welcomed all the guests and Dr Awadhesh Kumar Mishra provided a brief introduction of the All India Naturopathy Council and its activities.

Prof Menon mentioned the importance of living in harmony with nature, which has been described in ancient texts. The felicitation ceremony followed the speeches, in which the guests were welcomed with robes and mementoes. Rotary Club president Mukesh Johri was also honored with an Ang Vastra, a memento, and a Kevada plant. Certificates were distributed to all the participants attending the conference.

The last day of the conference began with a race from Juna Akhara to Vikram University, and later with a general meeting of the Council. A new executive was formed to conclude the conference.
