MLA inspects the district hospital

Madikeri; MLA M P Appachu Ranjan on Friday visited district hospital as the state government plans to upgrade it to a 750 bed hospital, through Karnataka medical sciences institute (KMSI). He said the district hospital has 400 beds at present and patients from other districts are also availing the services. He said that the hospital will be upgraded as super speciality hospital as the state government has sanctioned Rs 100 crores in last budget. He said that the construction work for a 350 bed new hospital would begin in the month of August. Kodagu institute of Medical sciences (KIMS) dean, Dr K B Cariappa, Executive engineer, Satish explained the details of the project to the legislator.
