Met Office forecasts what weather to expect this Bank Holiday weekend.
The British summer has been full of surprises, and the rest of this season promises to be no different. This weekend, temperatures are set to return to normal levels, while rain is predicted for some parts of the country.

According to the Met Office, temperatures in southern regions are expected to remain in the low twenties, while northern regions may experience temperatures in the high teens. Despite the rain, there should still be plenty of dry and bright weather to enjoy.

Craig Snell, a meteorologist at the Met Office, said: “We expect the warmer air to be pushed away and temperatures could return to normal levels, closer to the August average. It will depend where you are in the country. In the south, temperatures will be in the low 20s, maybe pushing 22C in London. In the north, temperatures will likely be in the high teens.”

Mr Snell also commented that at the moment, there are no signs of “anything very dry, or anything really wet”. He added: “For some areas, Saturday and Sunday will be the best days, and for others Monday will be the best day. It will be a mixed picture, but there should be plenty of dry and bright weather to make the most of the last bank holiday before Christmas.”

So while rain may be expected this weekend, it won't be all bad news. There should still be plenty of time to make the most of the last bank holiday before Christmas.
