The Spice Girls have something big in the works! Mel B, also known as Scary Spice, has revealed that the girls are reuniting for a mysterious project. The 48-year-old singer said that Victoria Beckham is helping to lead the way this time.
“We are doing something together as the Spice Girls and it has always been me kind of championing everybody together,” Mel B told the Daily Telegraph. “But this time it was actually Victoria that was saying, ‘Come on, let’s all do something’. So we have got something in the works, which will be announced soon.”
The iconic group haven't performed as a five-piece in over a decade, since the London Olympics in 2012. To raise everyone's hopes, Melanie C recently said that they "all" would love to perform at the Glastonbury Festival.
Mel C went on to tell BBC Radio 6 Music's Matt Everitt that "all of the Spice Girls would like to play Glasto, that is the truth. Like I said to the audience [on Saturday night], doing a couple of Spice Girls songs, 'A bit of a warm-up for next year?' They’re rehearsed, they know the words, they’re ready.”
Mel B also opened up about Victoria's comeback, saying that they are "planning on releasing a statement" soon. The singer said she didn't need to "convince" Victoria as they "always been in contact" and it's a matter of timing.
