A heartbreaking incident took place in Bhopal's Chhola locality on Tuesday night when a 23-year-old married woman, Hemwati Bai, committed suicide. Hemwati had recently married Rajkumar Ahirwar and the couple lived with their three kids in a joint family.
The circumstances leading to the tragedy began when a minor dispute arose between Hemwati and her brother-in-law Aakash. Rajkumar intervened and made them both go to their respective rooms.
At that time, Aakash attempted to take his life by hanging himself from the ceiling in his room. The family rushed him to DIG hospital and luckily, he was saved.
Unfortunately, Hemwati, who was left alone at home, hanged herself to death. The family found her when they returned from the hospital and rushed her to a private hospital, but it was too late and she was declared dead on arrival.
Police SHO Udayveer Singh Bhadoria said that the exact cause of the tragedy is still unknown as no suicide note has been recovered at the spot. The investigation is ongoing.
Hemwati's untimely death has come as a shock to her family and her friends. It has been just four days since her marriage and her tragic death has left everyone in disbelief.
