Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde visits flood-affected areas in Mumbai, inspecting measures to tackle waterlogging.
In order to assess the situation and take necessary preventive measures, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde paid a visit to the flood-affected areas of the city on Sunday morning. He conducted an inspection of the key locations such as Dadar TT Circle, Road No. 24 in Sion, Tilak Nagar, Andheri Subway, and Milan Subway.

At Milan Subway, Shinde addressed the media and provided an update on the ongoing efforts to combat waterlogging problems in the locality. He highlighted the heavy rainfall that occurred, reaching approximately 70 mm within just one hour, but commended the uninterrupted traffic movement in the area due to the implementation of preventive measures.

To further ensure the effectiveness of such measures, he visited the Coastal Road Project in Worli and inquired about the factors contributing to waterlogging. He directed the relevant officials to take necessary steps to prevent any such situations in the future.

The Chief Minister’s visit comes after Mumbai Congress Chief slammed Shinde's government for flooding the city after the first rainfall. He accused the government of “shamelessly lying”. With his visit, Shinde hoped to address the allegations and ensure that the citizens do not face any problems during rain.
