He tried to play down the encounter when he informed Nate of what had taken place, but Nate cautioned him that it was not what happened that was important, but what he was feeling. Knowing how Charity will likely react when she finds out that her fiancé was unfaithful straight after she lost her own baby and has kept this enormous secret about the fatherhood of Chloe's baby for months, including while Chloe was living with them, Nate understood Mackenzie was in trouble.
