Lucy Watson encourages people to check their fertility sooner rather than later, due to her own experience with tears.
Lucy Watson, star of Made in Chelsea, recently shared an emotional video on TikTok to implore viewers to investigate their fertility before they want to start having children.

The 32-year-old, who recently announced her pregnancy with her husband, James Dunmore, 34, opened up about her own “never-ending” journey to conceive. She wanted to acknowledge the struggles that many viewers were going through, and urged them to get testing done sooner rather than later.

Holding back tears, Lucy said: “I thought I owed it to anyone going through struggles with fertility do a little video to acknowledge your pain. Everyone had been so sweet and I’ve had lots of messages on Instagram from similar people. Fertility problems aren’t spoken about enough and if you’ve had a normal cycles and periods you assume it will happen really quickly for you.”

She went on to explain that she wanted to do a deeper dive into all she had learned over the last two years, and shared her advice for those wanting to take control of their fertility: “If you have the financial option to get testing done then do it sooner rather than later don’t wait until you’re ready to try. There can be so much going on under the surface – this applies to men and women by the way. You can always get a scan or sperm analysis to see where you are now and it doesn’t mean things can’t improve but if things aren’t great you don’t want things to deteriorate you want to take control.”

After meeting on Made In Chelsea, Lucy and James have kept their private lives out of the spotlight. Last month, they announced her pregnancy with a sweet post on Instagram. The post was met with many congratulations from family and fans, including her sister Tiffany Watson, who welcomed her own baby boy earlier this year.

Lucy ended the video by expressing her gratitude for everyone’s support and her commitment to helping others going through similar journeys. She said: “I’m not miserable by the way! I’m just emotional and this can be a really hard topic to talk about. I am going to carry on talking about it and help others as much as I can!”
