Lucy-Jo Hudson, a former star of Coronation Street and Hollyoaks, recently revealed her latest side hustle: becoming a travel agent. She shared the news on Instagram, alongside a photo of her out on a night, and wrote about the realities of the acting industry.
"In my industry, it's not easy," she said. "I could audition for 8 jobs and get none, yet I could fall into a job next week, or I might not work for 6 months!" Lucy-Jo went on to talk about her need for a side hustle - something that would fit around her family life and her frequent trips to London for castings. "I love nothing more than acting but...I have decided I need a side hustle," she wrote.
Lucy-Jo's announcement of her new career came shortly after she spent time in hospital due to her HB levels being 'dangerously low'. She has chronic anaemia, and last October confirmed to her followers that she was unwell. She thanked them for their support in a post, saying that her HB levels were extremely low and her iron levels were at an all-time low.
The actress recently left her role as Donna-Marie Quinn in Hollyoaks, after playing the main character for several years, and making various guest appearances since 2018. She is now focusing on her new career and the start of her own 'LJ's Travel Club'.
