Kym Marsh has taken on a new role in a show after appearing in Waterloo Road, and her real daughter will be joining her.
Kym Marsh of Coronation Street and Waterloo Road fame is set to take to the stage in Manchester this May for the Take That musical Greatest Days, and she will be accompanied by her daughter, Emilie Cunliffe. Tim Firth's show commemorates the 30th anniversary of the boy band's first UK number one single, Pray, using 15 of their songs to tell the story of five friends who reunite over 20 years later in an attempt to see their idols one last time.

Kym and Emilie will both be playing the role of Rachel at different stages of her life. Kym expressed her enthusiasm: 'I'm ecstatic to be going back to theatre and included in the cast of Greatest Days. Take That was extremely popular when I was in my twenties and I was an immense fan - who wasn't? Their music brings me back to numerous extraordinary moments in my life, same as it does for many other people. And I'm delighted to be able to work with my daughter Emilie too. She's a real talent and I'm looking forward to sharing the stage with her.'

Emilie, who has featured on The Voice and Britain's Got Talent and is releasing her debut album this year, is following in her mother's footsteps into the entertainment business, and commented that 'Being able to collaborate with my mum is a dream come true. I grew up listening to Take That with mum so it is an honour to be a part of this amazing musical celebrating their music.'
