Kimora Lee Simmons is now $16.5 million richer after selling her luxurious Beverly Hills mansion. The model and entrepreneur recently finalized the sale of her 9,405-square-foot home, which she had initially purchased for $11 million back in 2008. She was able to make a significant $5.5 million profit from the sale.
The mansion was fit for a queen, featuring Greek-style columns at the entryway, a chandeliered dining room, mahogany wood-paneled library, butler's pantry, spa, gym, wine cellar, pool, and a stunning garden. The master bedroom included a wood-burning fireplace, a private balcony, and dual baths with walk-in closets.
Kimora had originally asked for $23 million when putting the property on the market in January. After several years of it being on and off the rental market, she eventually accepted an offer of $16.5 million. The new owner has since put the home back on the market as a short/long-term leasing option for $100k a month - far more than the $62,500 per month Simmons was offering last December.
Meanwhile, Kimora and her children are currently residing in a separate Beverly Park mansion, as part of a long-term lease-back agreement. This comes after a family rift earlier this month, when her two eldest daughters, Aoki and Ming Lee Simmons, called out their father Russell Simmons on Father's Day. Kimora addressed the rift during an appearance at Essence Fest, saying, "I'm always okay. You guys know I'm a tough chick. We've been through a difficult time and I like for people to say, 'I love Aoki. We love Ming.'"
