Kim Kardashian has been determined to make her late father, Robert Kardashian Sr., proud by following in his footsteps and becoming a lawyer. After first registering with the California State Bar in 2018, Kim has confirmed that she still hasn't passed the bar exam six years later.
The 42-year-old took to her Instagram story to make light of the situation, posting a picture of Snoopy artwork with the caption: “I ain’t passed the bar but I know a lil’ bit.” The quote is a lyric from Jay-Z’s song 99 Problems, coming from a thought bubble above a studious-looking Snoopy’s head.
Kim has been training to become a lawyer since 2018 and has been working alongside attorneys Jessica Jackson and Erin Haney to prepare for the career move. Unfortunately, she scored 474 on her first attempt, the score needed to pass being 560, and even worse on her second attempt at 463.
However, Kim was undeterred and took the test again in December 2021, finally passing the baby bar exam. She took to Instagram to celebrate her achievement, saying: “I failed this exam 3 times in 2 years. But I got back up each time and studied harder and tried again until I did it!!!”
Kim is determined to pass the bar exam and work as a pro bono lawyer, aiming to take it in February 2025. She told the Wall Street Journal in October 2021: “I don’t see me floating on a yacht. I think I’ll always feel good when I’m working.”
