Eicher Motors Limited announced through an exchange filing that their sales in the domestic and international market for July 2023 stood at 5,877 vehicles, a slight decrease from the 5,982 units sold in July 2022.

Domestic sales of the company's Light Medium and Heavy (LMD) trucks increased by 1.8%, with 2,759 units sold, compared to 2,709 units sold in July last year. The sales of LMD buses however, fell by 13.1%, with only 1,028 units sold. Sales of Heavy Duty (HD) buses, however, saw a major jump of 50.5%, with 155 units sold. All in all, Eicher Motors' total domestic sales for July 2023 saw a drop of 0.9%, with 5,311 units sold compared to 5,360 units sold in July 2022.

Exports however, saw a major decline of 15.2%, with only 425 vehicles exported in comparison to 501 units sold internationally for the same time period in the last financial year. This was mostly due to a 51% drop in international HD vehicle sales and a 24.6% drop in the export of buses. On the other hand, the exports of LMD vehicles saw a jump of 8.4% in July.

The sales of Volvo buses and trucks also increased by 16.5%, with 141 units sold in comparison to 121 units sold in July 2023.

Bajaj Auto also reported a decrease in sales for July. Their total sales saw a 10% drop and exports dropped by 18%.
