Judy Finnigan, a television presenter, was confused by her co-host's paranoia during a segment on Good Morning Britain.
Next up on our radar is an interesting admission from Richard Madeley. The seasoned presenter revealed that his wife, Judy Finnigan, is completely baffled by his Good Morning Britain routine. After spending decades on breakfast television, the 67-year-old is no stranger to early wakeups. However, he confessed that he still has a fear of sleeping through and missing the start of the show.

During an appearance on This Morning to celebrate GMB's decade on air, Madeley shared, "I'm always paranoid about sleeping through. I have a ritual where I set my alarm three times the night before." He then went on to explain that his wife often questions him about this habit, saying, "What are you doing? You know it's set, what are you doing?" To which he replies, "I have to do this, otherwise I don't sleep."

Madeley also revealed that he has a specific time set on his alarm to trick his brain into thinking it's a more reasonable hour. "I've got three alarms, set for 4:01, one minute past four. Because psychologically I say to myself, 'I'm not getting up in the middle of the night, I'm getting up early in the morning.'"

His co-host, Susanna Reid, also admitted to having multiple alarms set before she finally gets out of bed. "3:40 first alarm goes off, 3:45 second alarm goes off, and then 3:50, out of bed and on it," she shared.

But it's not just the hosts who have their alarm secrets. Ben Shephard, who used to co-host GMB with Madeley, has his own worries about oversleeping. In fact, he even shared that he used to wake up in the middle of the night just to double check if his alarms were set. "I even had one alarm set on the other side of the room to force me out of bed," he admitted.

And while it's rare for any of the presenters to actually oversleep, Madeley threw his former co-host, Ranvir Singh, under the bus when he claimed that she once slept through her alarm and arrived 30 minutes late to the studio.

But it's not just the presenters who have missed their cue. Madeley recently took a swipe at Madonna, sharing that he once had to wait for hours to interview her. He didn't reveal which show or outlet the interview was for, but he did say that it "wasn't worth" the six-hour wait. "It didn't start until about one in the morning. I was so angry," he recalled. When Reid asked if the interview was worth the wait, Madeley replied, "No it wasn't, actually. She was weird."

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV1, while This Morning airs at 10am on the same channel.
