JP Nadda, BJP leader, starts two-day trip to Odisha on Friday.
Bhubaneswar is eagerly awaiting the arrival of Bharatiya Janata Party National President and Union Minister J.P. Nadda, who will be visiting the state for two days. In a briefing with the media, Odisha unit BJP president Manmohan Samal announced that Nadda is expected to land at Bhubaneswar airport at around 1 p.m. on April 11th.

Samal also shared that Nadda's visit will include a stop in Cuttack, where he will officially launch the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, a historic event that will take place at the Bali Jatra Ground on Friday afternoon. Joining Nadda at the ceremony will be Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy CMs KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, and other prominent leaders. This initiative is expected to benefit 3.5 crore people in the state and provide access to medical facilities at 29,000 empaneled hospitals across the country.

Samal emphasized that the introduction of AB-PMJAY in Odisha will greatly increase the number of hospitals available for treatment, from 978 during the previous government to 29,000. This means that both the people of Odisha and those living outside the state will now have access to free advanced medical treatment. Additionally, senior citizens aged 70 and above, regardless of their socio-economic status, will receive all the necessary care under the Ayushman Vay Vandana scheme.

It is worth noting that the state government has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the central government to integrate AB-PMJAY with the state's own Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana. Samal also revealed that Nadda will inaugurate the new building of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Post Graduate Institute of Paediatrics in Cuttack. In addition, Nadda's itinerary includes visits to the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology and AIIMS Bhubaneswar.

On Saturday, Nadda will formally inaugurate a training program for party MLAs and MPs, which will take place in Puri. The three-day event will cover various topics such as organizational, administrative, and ideological subjects, and will provide valuable training for the party's leaders. This is an important step in strengthening the BJP's presence in the state and ensuring effective governance for the people of Odisha.
