Samal emphasized that the introduction of AB-PMJAY in Odisha will greatly increase the number of hospitals available for treatment, from 978 during the previous government to 29,000. This means that both the people of Odisha and those living outside the state will now have access to free advanced medical treatment. Additionally, senior citizens aged 70 and above, regardless of their socio-economic status, will receive all the necessary care under the Ayushman Vay Vandana scheme.
