John Boyega and Teyonah Parris recently sat down with BLACK ENTERPRISE to talk about the symbolism in their new sci-fi comedy, "They Cloned Tyrone." Directed by Juel Taylor, the movie follows an unlikely trio as they uncover a nefarious government conspiracy.
Boyega shared that the movie is a genre-busting homage to the Blaxploitation films of the 1970s. He also noted how it serves as a “self-reflection” movie, as it flips stereotypes on their head.

When asked about working with Jamie Foxx, who wasn't present for the junket due to a hospitalization, Boyega and Parris recalled how the veteran actor would crack jokes on set and how they had deep debates and conversations about the government conspiracy tie-in.
Boyega said that viewers will have conversations about the movie, but they'll also embrace the comedy and Jamie Foxx.
