Janey Godley is grateful for the hospital's help in giving her more time despite her terminal cancer diagnosis.
On Tuesday, Scottish comedian Janey Godley shared an update with her fans that had her wiping away tears. The 62-year-old star is living with terminal cancer and the news of the day was that her scan was clear for the next three months.

In an emotional video, Janey thanked her Twitter followers for their support and praised the Scottish National Health for their care in prolonging her life. She said, “I just got the news that the scan is clear, so another three months. Thank you everybody who’s been sending love and positive feelings. People sending prayers and all the support has been overwhelming. This is how I’m gonna live my life. In three-month increments.”

Janey had been initially given the all-clear in June 2022, but then in December, the cancer returned forcing her to undergo chemotherapy treatment and a full hysterectomy. Her hysterectomy had been pushed back seven weeks after she tested positive for coronavirus. She told Lorraine Kelly, “You never prepare yourself for someone saying we’ve discovered cancer… I can’t have the op for seven weeks because of the Covid.”

Janey has been incredibly grateful for the love and support she has received from her fans and the medical care she has been given. She concluded her video by saying, “Thank you Scottish National Health for prolonging my life as long as they can through this cancer treatment.”
