Jamie Foxx accused of sexual assault at NYC bar.
Hollywood star Jamie Foxx is facing a lawsuit alleging he sexually assaulted a woman at a New York rooftop bar eight years ago. According to court documents, the actress, identified only as Jane Doe, claims that Foxx, whose real name is Eric Bishop, made comments such as 'Wow, you have that super model body' before pulling her by the arm to the back of the rooftop.
The lawsuit, filed at the New York Supreme Court, alleges that Foxx then subjected her to 'heinous touching and sexual assault', leading to 'severe emotional distress and anxiety' as well as post-traumatic stress disorder.

Jane Doe is also suing Catch NYC and rooftop and it’s owner Mark Birnbaum for being 'negligent' and 'failing to use reasonable care to prevent the acts described' in the lawsuit. The filing of the lawsuit comes at a significant time, as the New York Adult Survivors Act is set to expire on Thursday, a law passed last year which allows a temporary window for those who allege sexual assault to file past the state’s normal deadlines.

This is not the first controversy Jamie Foxx has been involved in this year. Earlier in the year, he revealed he had suffered a medical emergency, and was hospitalised for a mystery illness. He later credited his sister with saving his life.

In July, Foxx was accused of antisemitism after an Instagram post he shared about 'fake friends' and 'fake love'. He later apologised for the post, which has since been deleted. Jennifer Aniston was also dragged into the controversy when she 'liked' the post.
