"Is the PS5 boycott still on? Readers share their thoughts in this edition of Games Inbox."

Critics boycott PS5 physical media console, while another notes irony of Xbox's 25th anniversary.

Hey there! Do you plan on using your console this week? I was checking out the Monday letters page and noticed that they're also joining in on the PS5 physical media console boycott.

It's interesting that one person brought up the irony of Xbox's 25th anniversary in all of this. Have you heard about the Games Inbox? It's a collection of our readers' letters, comments, and opinions on various topics.

Luckily, I have an Xbox Series X and a Switch to keep me entertained during this boycott. I'm sure I'll find something to play. The interesting thing is, I only bought my PlayStation 5 a year ago.

If Sony had announced their plan to stop making discs before I purchased the console, I probably wouldn't have bought it. Are there any other readers of GameCentral who are also participating in this boycott? I hope so, and I hope there are others around the world as well.

I had the chance to play The Duskbloods network test over the weekend and I have to say, I was pretty impressed. The graphics are top-notch, on par with Elden Ring. You wouldn't even guess it's a game for the Switch 2 just by watching a video.

Of course, if you analyze it, you might be able to tell, but overall, I was impressed. At first, the game seemed like a generic From game, with the monster that beats you in the first few minutes and the basic controls. But as I got into it, I really enjoyed the extreme jumping mechanics.

The rules are a bit complicated, but so was Elden Ring Nightreign, so I'm sure it'll find its fans. I'm not sure if I'll buy it, but I'm definitely interested. Onto some gaming news, I don't know if you've heard about the GTA 6 leaks, but wow!

I've never seen anything like this happen with a game before. I mean, sure, there have been a few things here and there, like the Marvel's Wolverine hack, but this is on a whole other level. It's a shame that something like this could happen with such a highly anticipated game.

I can only imagine how furious Rockstar must be right now. Their security is usually top-notch, aside from a few hacks a few years ago that didn't reveal much. Now, I'm curious to see what will be announced by the time you read this.

I would love to be a fly on the wall at Rockstar right now. On a lighter note, did you know that there are regional variations when it comes to physical and digital game sales? I came across an article discussing the breakdown of these sales in different countries.

It's surprising to see that some games, like Assassin's Creed Shadows and Resident Evil Requiem, have more physical sales than digital in countries like France and Australia. It makes you wonder why Sony decided to completely cut off physical discs when they could have let publishers decide on a game-by-game, region-by-region basis. Lastly, I've been thinking about the potential Zelda: Ocarina Of Time remake and how they could incorporate a playable Zelda section without ruining the feel of the game.

It would be cool to have a new dungeon-like area that only Zelda can access, but I'm not sure if it would be anything more than a gimmick. The biggest question, in my opinion, is what to do with Hyrule Field. Keeping it the same would make it too small, but making it bigger like in Breath Of The Wild would completely change the game's look and feel.

What do you think? Hey there! Have you had a chance to use your console this week?

I was reading the Monday letters page and it looks like there's a boycott going on for the physical media version of the PS5. It's interesting to see how even the Xbox 25th anniversary is being brought into the conversation. Have you heard about it?

Personally, I'm also participating in the boycott. Sony's decision to stop making discs really rubbed me the wrong way and I want to show my support for physical media. Luckily, I have an Xbox Series X and a Switch in addition to my PS5, so I won't be short on games to play during the boycott.

It's just frustrating because I only bought the PS5 a year ago. If Sony had announced this decision before I got the console, I probably wouldn't have bought it. I'm hoping that there are other readers of GameCentral who are also taking part in the boycott.

It's important to stand up for what we believe in, even if it's just a small action. And speaking of GameCentral, have you signed up for our newsletter? It's a great way to stay updated on the latest gaming news and reviews, delivered straight to your inbox every Saturday morning.

I finally had a chance to play The Duskbloods network test over the weekend and I was really impressed. The graphics are top-notch, almost on par with Elden Ring. It's hard to believe that it's a game for the Switch 2.

The jumping mechanics are also really unique and add a fun twist to the gameplay. At first, I thought it was going to be just another generic From game, with the usual difficult enemies and controls. But as I played more, I found myself getting really into it.

The rules and mechanics may be a bit complicated, but that's what makes it so intriguing. I'm not sure if I'll end up buying the game, but I'm definitely interested. The recent leaks for GTA 6 have been mind-blowing.

I've never seen anything like this before. It's expected for fans to put in a lot of effort to uncover information about such a highly anticipated game, but I'm surprised at how easily Rockstar's security was breached. It's clear that they are not happy about it either.

I can only imagine the chaos that's going on at their headquarters right now. If something like this were to happen with the Zelda: Ocarina Of Time remake, I have a feeling Nintendo would just cancel it altogether. They wouldn't be able to handle such a major leak.

Let's hope it doesn't come to that. I came across an interesting article about the breakdown of physical and digital game sales in different countries. It's surprising to see that some regions, like France and Australia, have a higher percentage of physical game sales compared to digital.

This decision by Sony to completely cut off physical media seems even more confusing when you consider this data. Maybe they didn't take all factors into account before making their decision. Lastly, I wanted to talk about the potential playable Zelda section in Ocarina Of Time.

While it would be cool to have, I don't see how it could be a substantial addition without changing the overall feel of the game. The biggest dilemma for me is what to do about Hyrule Field. Keep it the same and it's too small, but make it bigger and it changes the entire dynamic of the game.

It's a tough decision to make.
