“It is better to live your own destiny imperfectly than to live an imitation of somebody else’s life with perfection.”
I think of this note from The Bhagavad Gita from time to time. It is always a good reminder to focus on the path that lies ahead. Imperfect as our abilities to traverse it may be, at least it is ours.
It is also always easier said than done.
