Paul Walter Hauser is making waves in both the wrestling and entertainment industries. With a Disney background, a Golden Globe win, and a knack for character acting, it's no surprise that he's already making a name for himself in 2024 with acting awards, voice acting in Inside Out 2, and putting on intense matches in the ring.

Recently, Paul spoke exclusively to The Agency after signing a contract with Major League Wrestling. As a lifelong WWE fan, he's determined to make the most of his life and live it boldly, embracing all aspects of it.

"I've always dreamed of bleeding in the ring while also competing for acting awards, crying in church with my kids, fighting a treadmill and a Stairmaster, cooking, and going to therapy," Paul shared. "Life is like a big kaleidoscope and I want to experience it all."

And he's certainly doing just that. With six matches under his belt in the first six months of the year, Paul is also juggling filming commitments for The Naked Gun reboot and his upcoming film with Mark Wahlberg, Balls Out. But despite his busy schedule, he's not slowing down anytime soon.

"I'm actually headed to Australia to do the movie with Wahlberg," Paul chuckled. "I almost said 'match', but I don't think I would stand a chance against him in the ring."

While Paul is in high demand in Hollywood, not everyone he works with is aware of his blossoming wrestling career. "I think most people are in the dark about it," he admitted. "Some have reached out and asked if I'm having a midlife crisis or if I could get hurt in the ring."

But Paul reassures them that wrestling is a calculated risk, just like playing a sport. And it's a risk he's willing to take because of his lifelong love for the sport. In fact, he's even described himself as a reverse Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, with his dreams of being sent through wooden tables and wearing a crimson mask.

But his love for wrestling has also led to an amazing opportunity - voicing the character of Embarrassment in Inside Out 2. "What a beautiful, powerful film," Paul gushed. "I deeply admire Steve Zahn's performance in that Planet of the Apes film from a few years back. He said very little, but he was so effective. I wanted to have a similar impact with my role."

Despite his success in Hollywood, Paul remains committed to wrestling and using his platform to shine a light on the talented individuals he meets in MLW and beyond. He's been preparing for this his whole life, "desiring" the feeling of being thrown through tables and wearing a crimson mask.

"You don't even feel the pain when it's something you love," he shrugged, comparing it to the Herculean efforts he and his wife make to balance their family life with their careers.

But not everyone has been supportive of Paul's wrestling career, with trolls and naysayers bodyshaming him and questioning his place in the ring. But Paul doesn't let it bother him, knowing that thick skin is necessary in the world of wrestling, acting, and stand-up comedy.

"It shouldn't hurt my feelings," he said. "But it does because I'm putting everything into this and doing a great job. If the roles were reversed, and I was paying to sit in the audience, I would be very impressed watching another actor do all that."

For Paul, wrestling is not just a side quest, but a dream he's always had since childhood. And he's not letting anyone bring him down as he continues to pursue it.

"I'm doing it for the people that like it and get it, including myself," he declared defiantly. "I hope to inspire others to take chances and believe in themselves, even if it means doing something unexpected like a heavyset 37-year-old wrestling and having successful matches. Life is too short to leave anything on the table."
