I moved into New Acres, Wandsworth in November 2023. My girlfriend and I were among the first few residents to move in. At that time, I was working as a maritime broker, but four months later, I had the opportunity to build my own gin distillery bar within the development. We are currently waiting for the final go-ahead to start this exciting venture.
Apart from that, we also opened a community café called 404 Coffee within New Acres. We have gotten to know everyone in the building, from other tenants to the concierge and staff. There is a real sense of family here, and we love it.

We pay £2,400, and we feel like we are getting a great deal. The apartment comes fully furnished, and we have access to a fantastic gym with excellent personal trainers and classes. There is also a 25m heated rooftop pool with outside terraces, which is perfect during the summer months. Plus, we have access to co-working spaces, pool tables, and even a grand piano.

Believe it or not, we found New Acres on Instagram! We saw some pictures and knew we had to see it in person. We had the first appointment after the building opened to the public, and within 45 minutes, I signed the agreement.

Luckily, the flat came with beautiful furnishings, so we didn't have to do much to make it feel like home. We also have the freedom to decorate, paint, and put up shelves, which is not always possible in rental properties. I have a lot of plants, and it's starting to look like an orchard in here!
Do you encounter any problems with your home?
There were a few minor issues, mostly with the appliances, but nothing too difficult to handle. The team here has been incredibly helpful, and they always fix any problems promptly. We even had a concierge come up to our flat at 11pm on a Friday to assist us.
That's excellent customer service! Do you have plans to move again soon or perhaps buy a place?
My girlfriend and I love this development so much that we just signed for a larger flat here. It's challenging to find a place with a beautiful pool and gym in such a prime location. Plus, when the development is complete, there will be numerous independent businesses on the ground floor. I plan on opening a gin distillery with a social space and bar to support the community.

Welcome to our home! As you can see, we have neutral décor that looks fantastic against the dark walls. We have clever storage solutions that make the most of the space. We also have ambient strip lighting under our kitchen cupboards, which adds a lovely touch. Would you like some tea or coffee? We have a fully stocked kitchen and a dining table, which is rare to find in London.
I noticed that you have a balcony. That's a bonus!
Yes, we enjoy sitting out here and admiring the view. And wait until you see our bathroom! We have a rainfall shower, and I have organized our bathroom cabinet to perfection. Everything in this flat is less than a year old, so it still feels brand new.
That's impressive! I also noticed that there are communal areas in the building. Can you tell us more about those?
Absolutely! We have a grand piano, pool tables, and even a swimming pool. The best part is that all these amenities are free to use for residents. We also have a gym, so I have canceled my expensive gym membership. There are also private dining rooms where we can host dinner parties or events with our friends.

We love Wandsworth. It has its own community and vibe. We used to live in Balham, and this is our first time living in Wandsworth. We are very happy here. You can reach Central London in 30 minutes, and yet, you're far enough to enjoy the tranquility of Richmond Park and quaint countryside pubs. I have also opened a café within the building, and we host a run club for residents and locals during the week. It's a fantastic place to live, and we are excited for what the future holds.
