The government has also distributed 5 lakh tablets to students of classes 10th to 12th, installed digital boards in 40,000 classrooms, and established 1,201 ICT labs. Under the Functional Literacy and Numeracy program, the government aims to strengthen the foundation of children in classes one to three. CM Saini also spoke about the implementation of the National Skills Qualification Framework in schools to make students proficient in various skills.
In addition, the state has established 1,420 Government Model Sanskriti Primary Schools and 218 Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary Schools. Under the PM Shri School Scheme, 250 schools have been opened in the state. The government also offers free coaching and scholarships for meritorious students and has implemented a 27% reservation for backward classes in educational institutions and jobs. CM Saini also mentioned the government's efforts to provide education loans at a low-interest rate for students belonging to families with an annual income of up to Rs. 3 lakh.
