Chettalli, Aug. 6: Ammatthi's Uddapanda Chethan Changappa emerged as the overall champion after showing excellent performance in the 11th edition of Rain Forest Challenge India-2025 organized in Goa.

The pair of Kongetira Bopaiah and Maleyanda Bopanna from Chettalli came second in the stock category, Prathan Chittyappa from Hanchetti came third and Kambirada Mayur Bopaiah came second in the diesel category.

The Rain Forest Challenge is part of the Global Series of events held in many countries around the world and is one of the toughest, longest, largest and most prestigious off-road driving motorsports. It involves multiple off-road challenges called `Special Stages'. Off-roaders from many countries have participated in a week-long race in specially prepared 4-wheel drive vehicles. The track is presented as dangerous slopes, dense forests and deep mud slides in the interior of Goa during the monsoon.

A total of 77 teams participated in the 4x4 Extreme, 4x4 Modified and 4x4 Stock categories. In the Extreme category, there are 26 stages in which Arunachal Pradesh's Chavau Ujjal Namsum and Uddapanda Chetan Changappa pair became the overall champion, in the stock category, the pair of Kongetira Bopaiah of Chettalli and Maleyanda Bopanna of Madapur came second, and Kushalnagar's Hanchettira Prathan Chittyappa came third, and in the diesel category, Kambirada Mayur Bopaiah of Moornadu came second.

Along with them, Sibipol, Uddapanda Thimmanna, Puchanda Sujith Changappa, and Bachamanda Appanna from Kodagu participated.
