On Saturday, 11-year-old Lulu Ragusa had a miraculous escape from a house fire set by her father in Seattle. As flames engulfed the home, Lulu managed to jump out of the window and ran for help. Sadly, her two siblings, 4-month-old Valentina Ragusa and 7-year-old Sebastiano 'Seby' Ragusa, and her mother, Lana Stewart, 40, as well as the family dog, Rosie, did not survive.

The King County Medical Examiner's Office ruled the three deaths in the fire as homicides. Valentina and Seby died of smoke inhalation and Lana died of multiple sharp force injuries. Meanwhile, the father's death was ruled a suicide.
Stewart-Sloniker set up a GoFundMe page to help Lulu and wrote that the family who plans to adopt her did not financially plan to take on another child. They are aiming to raise $200,000 to give Lulu the best life possible and set her up for success in the future. As of Friday evening, the GoFundMe page had already raised more than $50,000.
