After the money was handed over, the accused used a metal tube with a blade and claimed that the procedure was meant to extract bile from the complainant's body. They even presented something that was supposed to be the extracted bile, but since the complainant did not experience relief, he approached the police.
DCP Roshan further revealed that the accused resorted to deceitful means to convince the complainant of the purported 'medical procedure'. They bent his hand backwards, cut his hand with the blade, and then sprayed a chemical on the oozing blood to change its texture and colour, leading the complainant to believe in the fabricated bile extraction.
The accused, hailing from Rajasthan, used to set up 'medical camps' in different places such as Manor-Palghar, Bhiwandi, Thane, Malegaon and Nashik, and lived in tents on available grounds in Maharashtra.
It is yet another example of the fraudulent activities of these individuals who aim to deceive unsuspecting victims. The police are determined to bring them to justice and ensure that innocent people are not taken advantage of.
