Fertiliser company cheated farmers

Napoklu; There is a saying that no one should believe anyone. But it's only evidence that people are worse off. It is a well known fact that for some years now, youngsters with motorcycles are visiting door to door to sell organic manure. These businesses were a hit as farmers showed interest in growing organic produces which has higher demand and price in market. Recently a sales representative cheated a farmer by supplying poor quality fertiliser.

Nchuchimaniyanda Beliappa native of Ballamavati Perur bought 150 bags of manure called Kisan Bio Gold from an organic fertilizer company in Mysore, by paying Rs 59,900 on March 30. After the rains, when the farmer opened the manure bags for the coffee plants, he was shocked as many fertiliser bags contained soil and stones. He also told that, the weight of the manure bag varied by 5-10 kg. When contacted by the dealer over the phone, Beliappa says he was asked to inquire with the fertilizer company. He urged the authorities to take stringent action against such fake fertiliser companies.
