During the dive, one of the sharks, known as Jitterbug, mistook Ken's iPhone for food and attempted to eat it. Luckily, the camera managed to capture some incredible footage before Jitterbug realized his mistake and spat the phone back out. We can see the inside of the shark's mouth and even get a glimpse of its sharp teeth as it chews on the phone.
Ken recalls the moment, saying, "I was watching the shark chew on the housing of the phone. I thought the phone was a goner until I saw it being spit out." It's safe to say that Ken was both relieved and amazed by the unexpected turn of events.

However, unprovoked shark attacks are rare, with only 10 reported fatalities worldwide in 2023, according to The University of Florida's International Shark Attack File. While this may seem like a high number, it's actually half of what it was the previous year, according to the New Scientist.
