"I thought this was going to taste like rubbing alcohol; it's going to be horrible. I took a sip and I'm like, wait, let me get a little bit more," LeGrand said to TMZ. "I had another sample, and I'm like, wow," he continued, describing his initial experience trying the product.
LeGrand added: "I'm like, we got something special here. This is just right."
The former tackle also referred to resilience and not permitting his affliction to restrict his ambitions.
"A lot of times people see someone in a wheelchair with a disability, they think they can't enjoy alcohol and other things, and I'm like, that's completely untrue, and I desired to terminate that stigma."

A portion of the proceeds from LeGrand Whiskey will go to research focused on paralysis.
"We have a purpose behind this. We wish to raise money for the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation to help us find a cure for paralysis," LeGrand said. "For every bottle we sell, $5.20 will be donated to the foundation, because 52 was my number."
LeGrand also possesses LeGrand Coffee House, situated in Woodbridge, New Jersey. LeGrand Coffee House includes a range of signature and specialty coffees, pastries, and monkey bread from Balthazar Bakery in Englewood.
