Encroachment of 133 lakes cleared

Kudige, Aug. 14: Tahsildar Kiran Gouraiah has informed that encroachment of 133 lakes has been cleared in Kushalnagar taluk limits.

A total of 139 lakes were identified as encroached in Kushalnagar and Suntikoppa hobli limits. Out of these, encroachment of 133 lakes has been cleared as per the rules and the documents have been handed over to the respective local administration. He said that after conducting a survey of the lakes, encroachment has been identified and then the related documents have been handed over to the officials of the respective Gram Panchayat and Municipality limits.
