Bengaluru, Aug. 14: Soon after the Supreme Court cancelled the bail order in the Renukaswamy murder case, the police have arrested actor Darshan, Pavithra Gowda and other accused near an apartment in Hosakerehalli, Bengaluru.
A two-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice J.B. Pardiwala and Justice R. Mahadevan had announced that the bail granted to the accused has been cancelled, overturning the High Court order. Thus, the Bengaluru Police arrested A2 accused Darshan from Flat No. 4154 on the 15th floor of Darshan's wife Vijayalakshmi's residence in Hosakerehalli, by a team led by Inspectors Nagesh and Subramanya.
The Supreme Court, which has cancelled the bail of all the accused including Darshan in the Renukaswamy murder case, has said that everyone is equal before the law.
Before Darshan's arrest, the police arrested Pavithra Gowda, the A1 accused in the Renukaswamy murder case, at her residence in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bengaluru, after her bail was cancelled by the Supreme Court and she was produced before the judge's residence.
