Emmerdale actors reveal shocking aftermath of deadly stunt set to take lives.
Who could possibly be inside those two crashed limos? Emmerdale stars William Ash and Laura Norton have given us a glimpse of what's to come following the dramatic icy lake stunt that rocked the village.
The aftermath of the two limo crashes will be the focus of the upcoming episodes, as we see the repercussions of a night that was supposed to be filled with excitement and celebration. It all began when Liam Cavanagh had his heart set on winning a raffle at the pub, hoping to use the prize to propose to Chas Dingle. But when Kerry Wyatt ended up winning the limo ride instead, Liam had to act quickly and arrange for another limo so he and his friends could have a fun night out.
As the two groups set off in high spirits, little did they know that their evening would take a disastrous turn. "It was really exciting because we were filming at night," shared William Ash, who plays Caleb Miligan. "We were doing night shoots, which, although it is kind of really hard work, we don't get a chance to do that a lot on Emmerdale. So we felt like naughty school kids, being allowed out of school. And there's all that atmosphere, you know, an exciting atmosphere."
But as the night progresses, the chaos and fun turn into separate problems for the men and women in the limos, leading to dangerous situations. "It is really exciting filming at night," added William, "but also, for this block they got all the toys out, they spent a lot of money, or it certainly seemed like they spent a lot of money on all the special effects and the equipment, and the actual stunt itself."
Giving us a glimpse of what's to come, he revealed, "The aftermath of the stunt is mind blowing when you see it. It felt really real. It was amazing to be part of it and lives will be in peril."
Laura Norton, who plays Kerry Wyatt, also shared her thoughts on the upcoming episodes. "When a soap does a big stunt week like this, it's amazing to be a part of it," she said. "The team work, the camaraderie, the collaboration made it a really bonding experience. All working on night shoots together and it's such a fab group of actors, an absolute pleasure to be part of. The outcome is going to affect so many in the village as well. The aftermath is going to cause huge ripples."
She also expressed her pride in being a part of these episodes, but also acknowledged the emotional toll it took on the cast. "I have seen some stunning acting during this block from my fellow actors and I cannot wait for the audience to watch," she shared. "I'm so proud to have been in these episodes although it's bittersweet – as lives are very much in peril and that means some tears have been shed whilst filming..."
