EastEnders will be featuring funeral scenes as the residents of Walford face another devastating loss.
In the upcoming episodes of EastEnders, we will witness a heartbreaking turn of events for Reiss Colwell, the killer of Debbie Colwell. As we all know, Debbie will finally be laid to rest next week, and while the residents of Walford are mourning her loss, Reiss is faced with yet another setback.

It's been revealed that Reiss suffocated his comatose wife in her care home bed a few months ago, in an attempt to solve his financial problems. He was arrested for murder along with his fiancée, Sonia Fowler, but was later released due to false alibi evidence from his phone records. With Reiss keeping his dark secret hidden, Sonia remains in prison and the people of Walford have come together to support her release.

However, as the day of Debbie's funeral approaches, Reiss finds himself alone as Sonia is unable to be there for him. Martin Fowler, Sonia's brother, visits Reiss to check on Sonia's instructions for the funeral. But when Debbie's parents, Brenda and Hugh Collins, make it clear that Reiss is not welcome at the ceremony, he is left heartbroken. Despite his attempts to explain himself, they refuse to listen and Martin steps in to arrange a wake for Reiss at The Vic.

As Reiss is touched by Martin's gesture, Bianca Jackson, Sonia's sister, enters the scene with a vengeance. She is furious about Sonia's imprisonment and demands answers from Reiss. With Patsy Palmer returning as Bianca for a guest stint, we can only imagine the chaos that will ensue. Especially since Bianca has previously expressed her doubts about Reiss before Debbie's murder.
