Nicola Mitchell has caused quite a stir since her arrival in Walford on EastEnders. As her son Harry Mitchell was being arrested for his involvement in the disappearance of his ex-girlfriend Shireen, Nicola made her debut on the popular BBC soap. Until now, viewers were under the impression that she had been living in Bali after her split from husband Teddy Mitchell. However, it was soon revealed that this was all a lie.
In Tuesday's episode, it was exposed that Nicola had been stealing from her ex-husband Teddy. She had provided Harry with a false alibi for the night of Shireen's disappearance, leading to his release. But it was clear that there was more to the story, as the whole family seemed to be hiding a big secret. Despite this, Nicola made it clear that she was planning on sticking around in Walford, much to the dismay of Teddy.
A heated argument between the exes ensued, during which Teddy revealed to Barney Mitchell, their youngest son, that Nicola had actually been in prison instead of Bali. It was revealed that she had been convicted of ABH for illegally administering fillers that left a client with serious medical complications. But the bombshells didn't end there.
Barney was shocked when Harry informed him that the real reason their mother had left was because Teddy had discovered she had been stealing money from him. With her relationship with her children in ruins, Nicola agreed to leave the Square. However, it's already been hinted that she will soon change her mind, as spoilers for the rest of the week show her setting her sights on buying Peggy's nightclub from Teddy.
