Cupertino is asking its residents for feedback on important matters affecting the community.
Good day, residents of Cupertino! We have some exciting news to share with you. Our city is launching a survey to gather your valuable input on various issues that are significant to our community. The survey will be open until December 4th and participants will be selected through a random sampling method. If you are chosen, you will be contacted via email, text, or telephone. Your responses will play a crucial role in helping our city council prioritize their goals for the next two years.

To ensure the accuracy and impartiality of the survey, we have commissioned independent research firms, Godbe Research Associates and McGuire Research, to conduct it. Godbe Research has been working with us since 1998 and has conducted the Resident Satisfaction Survey every two to three years. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the last survey was completed in 2017. You can find more information about the survey and view past results on our website at https://www.cupertino.org/our-city/departments/communications/community-survey. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected].

We also want to remind our residents that we are currently looking for individuals to fill positions on our city commissions that will have vacancies in January 2025. These commissions play a vital role in advising the city council by considering public input and providing recommendations. The commissions with upcoming vacancies include Arts and Culture Commission, Audit Committee, Bicycle Pedestrian Commission, Housing Commission, Library Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Planning Commission, Public Safety Commission, and Sustainability Commission.

If you are interested in applying, the deadline is 4 p.m. on Friday, January 3rd, 2025. The council will conduct interviews and make appointments in late January. You can submit your application online at cupertino.org/vacancies via the new commission-specific application links. For more information, please visit our website or email the City Clerk's office at [email protected].

We value your input and participation in our city's decisions. Thank you for taking the time to be a part of shaping our community for the better. We look forward to hearing from you!
