Congress plans to implement successful southern Odisha tactics in other areas of the state.
In a recent statement, a senior leader of the Congress party in Bhubaneswar revealed that the party has decided to follow the same strategy that proved to be successful in the 2024 elections. This decision was taken during an internal meeting that was held following the appointment of new AICC in-charge Ajay Kumar Lallu and state Congress president Bhakta Charan Das.

In the previous elections, the Congress party had managed to secure 14 Assembly seats and the Koraput Lok Sabha constituency. Out of these, 10 MLAs and the MP segment were from the southern part of the state, which is known to be a strong Congress stronghold in Odisha. Speaking to the media, Koraput MP Saptagiri Ulaka expressed the party's determination to replicate this success in other parts of Odisha in the upcoming Assembly polls.

Ulaka further added, "We are confident that under the leadership of our new state president and AICC in-charge, the Congress party will strengthen at the grassroots level and will be in a favorable position to form the government in Odisha in 2029."

Echoing similar sentiments, Congress Legislature Party leader Rama Chandra Kadam stated that the party is aiming to perform even better in the southern region of Odisha in the upcoming Assembly elections. He also mentioned that this model will be implemented in other regions of the state as well.

Furthermore, Kadam assured that the Congress party will continue to raise important public issues both inside and outside the Assembly and fight for the rights of the people. In line with this, the AICC in-charge shared that he has been engaging in discussions with senior party leaders, MLAs, MPs, and other party members for the past two days to strengthen the party at the grassroots level. The formation of committees at different levels, from panchayats to districts, has been diligently discussed and planned for effective implementation.
