Meet Ebony Shene', the woman behind six nursing schools in Chicago. She founded Scott School of Careers, an IBHE-approved vocational Certified Nurse’s Assistant program to provide high-quality education for aspiring nurses.

The mission of the school is to exceed the standard and properly train students in order to help them kickstart their careers in reputable fields. Scott School of Careers provides courses in Certified Nursing Assistant, Distance Learning Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Phlebotomy Technician, Certified Pharmacy Technician, Sterile Processing Technician and Licensed Practical Nursing. Additionally, they offer continued education courses in Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, as well as a vital signs clinic.

Shene' has been in the healthcare field for over two decades, working to improve the quality of care in African American communities. To show her passion for her profession, Shene' established My Nurse, an apparel line for current and aspiring nurses.

For her leadership and accomplishments in healthcare, Shene' was awarded the Illinois Nurses Foundation’s “40 Under 40” award in 2021. She currently holds the seat of chairperson of the Black Nurses Matter Network, is the chief organizer of The Chicago Nurse Expo, and a member of the Chicago Chapter Black Nurses Association.
